A very nice and desireable Holler Nr.21 Army Sword. These over the top designs were quite elaborate. It appears to have been unmolested for a long period of time.

Congrats and thanks for showing it.

          Original Heer sabre.
          Unfortunately scabbard is repainted.
          And scabbard screw looks repalced.

The Holler 21 has long been popular with collectors, Ever since T. Johnson singled it out in his first reference. IMO they are not a rare pattern but they are scarce and bring a premium, because of there unique hilt design. IMO worth $1500.- $1600..
Sword prices have fallen in the last few years. I also don't beleave that a repainted scabbard on a army sword is any big deal, if it even is a repaint.

                      100% yes.
You can see the rust under new paint, as well as taces of fuzzy paint.
Also scabbard ring is "mint", which is quite impossible to find even for saber in mint condition.
                      (And this one is not.)

Holler scabbard rings are always larger than the norm, on everyone I've ever owned. IMO A original Holler scabbard.
