I feel that the blade is a copy, I find bizzare engraving.

I am not that familiar w/ NPEA daggers having only had one in my collection which was an Eickhorn. From what I can see it looks good. As far as I know the fakers have not produced an Eickhorn NPEA blade. The frog is interesting in and of itself. Would like to see the marking in the circle. I think you need to wait until Ron Weinand comments on this piece.

I have Burgsmullers but I have never owned an Eickhorn so I will not comment further.

Its bad. Eickhorn didn't make a dagger for this school in the number range on the crossguard and crossguard interior markings are not correct for this dagger. See my book: "Wafffenleite Presenting NPEA Daggers of the Third Reich"
