EU daggers, swords and bayonets - related laws - need help

    Hi there!

In Croatia, where I live, we have a crazy law which demands all bayonet, swords and daggers collectors to issue an "old weapons - collecting license".
That license is the same as if you collect fire weapons, which is a huge nonsense.

    In one article, it's said:

    - Old weapon is a weapon which has a historical value, which is part of national costumes and police and military weapons which is worn out or unusable, weapons which was part of police and military parade uniforms, weapon produced before 1870 and weapon which is loaded from the mouth of the barrel and is fired by a flint, wick or a capsule.

So, to have a few daggers, bayonets etc. you have to pass a medical and physical exam, get trained in fire wepons use etc etc etc...

Our national bayonet collector's association is trying to suggest the changes of so restrictive law, so we would like to present what's the praxis in other EU countries. I would like colleague collectors here to translate a word or two from their national legislation about that, as that will help us fight to change the crazy laws.

    THANK YOU ALL!!!
