Is this an authentic Luftwaffe Dagger?

Hi guys, have the chance to buy this, and since I'm not a dagger guy, I was hoping I could get some 2nd opinions on this dagger. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I don't like it. The ferrule is cut in half (?) The grip looks wrong, the blade is re-tipped- and the portapee knot is a bad fake.

I think from what I can see that the components are original. It needs another ferrule (interesting grip/ferrule arrangement) and someone could have done a better job retipping that blade. $500? I would walk away - there are better deals out there.
BTW: that knot looks like a Pakistan import.
