Crossguard looks like an original generic type I to me.

I think all your parts are original, some early stuff..pommel, grip and scabbard, and as stated a later type A generic guard. Does the blade have a tapered tang? Kevin.

It is the shoulder tang. And also thanks for explaining . Do you think this was put together at the end of the war for us gi trophy's or just assembled later on. Thanks again ed
