Good question. There is no hole drilled in the tang like on the nickel plated Klaas daggers. And there are also no traces from nickel on the tang.

Hi Wim,

I just asked because I have a very similar piece in my
collection.
It has also a glass grip, but all parts are nickel plated (hilt,blade ....)
