    Looking to identify a sword

    Guys this came into me today and truly I have no idea. Make is Simpson & Co Shul. The blade appears to be a butcher WWI S 98/05 style but it has a threaded tang? The Scabbard is again a S 98/05 anodized example.
    The hilt just don't know...
    As always your advice is valued.

    Looks to be set up as a naval boarding cutlass. Interesting for sure.

    Oh, by the way the scabbard is blued not 'anodised'. Steel cannot be anodised. Anodising is surface process used on aluminum.
