Yes, but authentic examples are scarce. The next dozen you see will probably be fakes.

At least! Be very skeptical of any example you see, get really good pictures & post what you find. There are occasional originals out there.

In my 60 years of collecting, I have seen 3 HJ Bayonets that I knew were originals for sure. I have seen more original Feldherrnhalle Daggers than HJ Bayonets, so you can probably figure its a fake.

I have one such bayonet, and had the grip X -Rayed by an aircraft engineering company. It was still questionable as there was something there that did not indicate "Glue" I didn't want to go any further and start invasive checks, So I keep it and I am happy with it.

I bought it from a young lady that was selling her estranged husbands collection (without his knowledge I later discovered) to me it was just an oddity.

They are bloody rare though and this is the only one I have ever seen.

As Ron correctly states be wary of any that are offered and satisfy yourself in the first instance, do not get baited. I have shown mine to a few collectors and most comments start with a "HMMMM! One of those"

          Happy Collecting.

              yup.

I am away fishing but will try and find it next week and take some pictures.

I do not think mine is MM and if memory serves me the grip is a very light metal, almost aluminium.

I'll have a search in my drawers. It is most probably not correct but I like it.

              Happy Collecting

I guess the trick is to have the hilt X-rayed to see if the grip emblem is pinned, glued or just wedged in. Probably the only way to know for sure. Most fakes I've held were somewhat obvious by a close in-hand inspection & didn't need the assistance of a dentist. Rarer than hen's teeth I suspect, a period one that is.
