Hi friends, sometime ago I discussed this dagger there. What approximate cost for this will be optimal ? Opinions are interesting.

In this wonderful condition, I feel you are about $1500 short. It is most probably a left over stock honor dagger of Rohm that has had the inscription factory removed and then sold in the later year 1936 as rotated old refurbished stock. I would also bet that it has the 1934 era Eickhorn assembler's number on the bottom of the lower crossguard, as did the honor Rohm daggers.
I own one of these daggers and was one of the first collectors to point this out to Tom Wittmann early on concerning these early Eickhorn daggers with higher quality fittings and finish with the dual RZM and early Eickhorn markings.

Yes, You are right, the number "2" is on the lower crossguard.
