Scored this solingen knife att a fleamarket barn for the great price of 3 usd! My question is: Is it a post war knife or third reich related? Either way I am pleased with the find

If I remember correctly, Herbertz DJ knives was only produced in Herbertz & Meurer name, during the TR era.

Sorry,but the knife is post war made.
I'm sure the scabbard leather on the back is marked GERMANY or SOLINGEN

Thanks for the help guys, very helpful. Since I get mixed feedback I have decided to atleast keep it around the collection. The scabbard does not seem to have any markings. Would it be worth to clean the blade or keep as is?

Yes you should clean the blade to remove the rust and and then apply some oil over it.

Leave it, as it is now.
With cleaning you will only destroy the blade.
