WKC Double Dark Engraved Imperial Saber?

Greetings, I recently acquired this piece and would like some opinions on it. It is the Prussian Style Infantry Saber but I am unsure as to whether this was made for other than German military usage. The sword is much heavier than the average Imperial saber and it has damage to the hilt but the blade and scabbard are very nice. Thanks in advance for all of those that reply.

It has teh German military style but I have not seen this character on the hilt before.

Looks like it is missing the clam shell, need aphoto of the obverse, does it have the Othelo (Pack) tm?

OK, now that I posted, I can see it's a WKC

The dark engraving is interesting to me and the blade is actually engraved on three sides but I was not able to get a good picture of the floral pattern.

Engraved sabre? I would rather say - Prussian pallasch or degen, with etched motifs on blade.
These one pallasch like he was disassembled sometime during the past.

Nice sword, but some problems with scabbard rings and handle (not original i think)

The sword may be and export sword, or non millitary, as I can not find this etch in my WKC catolouge. Mr. Aurel is correct about the scabbard rings, there should be bands. IMO however the handle is correct, just missing the grip wire.
Is it missing the clam shell ? That would tell us alot.

It is missing the clam shell portion of the hilt.

As Schlange said an etched pallasch or degen, of uncertain identity as to its intended customer as was also stated, I think some more pictures might help. With perhaps a little more attention to the blade motifs which are hard to make out in the images. And perhaps one with the blade on top of the scabbard to see how big it is as compared to the scabbard. And the top of the pommel which has what might be an old style square type nut holding it all together? FP

I believe I have captured some much better images of the motif and the scabbard, The scabbard appears to be a good fit

The facial motif is not unlike some of the German Emperor that I saw in Metz and of course these images were directed east toward the French who had designs to reconquer all of Alsace and Lorraine.
