    Unmarked wkc bayonet

I am entertaining the idea of removing the bakelite grips on mine in search of markings. I am curious if anyone's done this before and what they may have found. I'm new to the boards and apologize if this has already been discussed.

    Hi Cartertank
I collect german bayonets and I never remove the grips of a bayonet which have never been before.
Under the grips you will only find assembly numbers on the tang.
If the grips are original you will find the maker code. No WaA for a commercial WKC.
    Regards
    Alain

You should only attach pictures, as we could see and bring some opinion, when could be not easily removed or dissasembled, is better done nothing like mentioned by jwh44.
