GOVernmental dagger hanger

They are supposed to have a black/dark Blue velvet backing...
but are they some versions with a green backing for the grey/green uniform ???

Yes, there is a green variant. Much more rare than the black or black/blue ones.
I am not totally sure if the shown hanger is original as I have not seen one with the DRGM upper fitting up to now. But the the stitching and the overall look let me tend to think it is an original one.

These look original and the DRGM is fine.
They look to be period shortened. The green backings may prove to be a difficult sell though.
In this environment now most collectors want "textbook" not rare.
Guys are not collecting government hangers by variation. The will want one pair and they will want the blue backs so do not pay big $ for these.

Agreed, with the price these are bringing, variations like this are not a easy sell.

If you own several government and diplomat daggers (eg. differing by manufacturer) these green backed hangers are a must!
