      The inside star points do not touch the inside of the outer star. I agree a laser etch.

                        Nothing personal, but you are easily amused. and if it was an original and never been fooled with (luckily it wasn't.)you would have booger'd a perfectly good top nut....so...some good advice is throw that dagger wrench away, and ..don't tear daggers apart unless you are making parts daggers from parts and are a professional e bay"nimrod". ( no self respecting dagger collector ever does that because there is no need to prove anything but your iggorance)not ignorance , as iggorance is the worserer tense of ignorance) Now dump that toad and go find a good one that has never been touched...the cut outs for the emblems told the tale even before looking at the blade.

                          Well, it can impress a newbie and looks much better than those cheap copies made in China.
                          I'd suggest to read some good referrence book first before spending hundreds of $$ on daggers. Knowledge is power and it comes not necessarily from the internet forums.
