    Army Officers Sword With Engraving

Could I please have help translating this engraving. The sword has the initials "FA" on it for "Franz Alge" who was a WW1 Gebirgsjager apparaently and then served in WW2. The sword also has the following engraved on it.

Zweipark Spittal" and "Zum Namenstag 1940 alle Kamaraden".

Your help would be appreciated. Thanks, Mark.

        Hi Mark,

Zum Namenstag 1940 Alle Kamerden means he got this engraving, or sword with engraving for his name day. If you aren't familiar with the "tradition" of name day, read here about it http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Name_day#Germany

I am not sure what Zweipark is supposed to mean but "Spittal" is a city in Carinthia, Austria.

        Hope that helps.
        Os.

Sorry, forgot to mention that "Alle Kameraden" in this case means that this sword, or just the engraving is from all his comrades, as a gift to him for his name day. It is a nice personalized sword, do you own it? What maker is it?
