            Mike,

I would say £600 - £700, looks like someone cleaned the fittings !

            Cheers Mac 66.

Yes definitely cleaned, and leather on the grip and scabbard is also cleaned and coated.
Sad, it was a gorgeous sword.

Things get cleaned and buffed-up both in and out of the woodwork. Woodwork buffing is usually the worst kind. The unsuspecting woodwork person thinks the shinier it gets the more money its worth.

                        Mike,

Several members have moved over to the WRF, i guess its dead because of the Trolls

The sword looks good apart from the cleaning but it will dull down thru time imo.

The patina will come back naturally all silver tarnishes , It still has the leather hanging piece which is the most important thing with Luftwaffe swords . If you go to the dagger forum they all spend hours polishing up their daggers to say this sword is ruined is ridiculous . Personally I would put it on the stand at £750 if it does not sell for that lower it . Rob
