The blade I suspect is no good the motto is off center and the makers mark looks dodgy. I would pass, the overall condition is pretty poor. Im curious as to what others think. Theres other things I dont like but I am often wrong.

This piece is quite similar to an SS dagger in my collection -- an early Eickhorn from the Munich Distribution Center -- and I wish mine was in better condition, too! Mine displays the same sort of stained blade, with a chipped grip and a well-worn scabbard. I bought mine at least two decades ago, for the reason that it was offered to me cheap -- cheap, at least, as SS daggers go -- and that made the deal for my poor wallet! The grip fits well on this piece, and the scabbard appears to be original to the dagger...an example of a well-used and early SS sidearm, IMO.
