    Suspicious looking german trench knife

    Hello all!
I've been looking at some german close combat knives on a auction site recently,
and one in particular caught my attention.

The seller advertises the item as "German close combat knife from World War I"

However, after a bit of googling and comparison with other knives,
I haven't found a single knife with the grips like this one.
The grips/handle reminds me a bit of kitchen knives, made before the 1980's.

    What do you think?

    Hi !

This is a Kampfmesser der Wehrmacht-Heer, IMO, grip plates replaced post 1945.

There´re such pattern knives showing "smooth", wooden grip plates, also with grooves.

    Best regards,

    R.
