    Salesman samples or letter openers

I've picked up a couple miniatures that I assume are
letter openers but someone has suggested that they
    might be sales samples.

The Army saber is marked Germany so to me, that seems
to reinforce the letter opener theory.

    I welcome your opinions.

      Germany

One is marked Germany so that means it was meant to be an export item to a foreign country. Could be either way but I would guess a letter opener for going to another country. Looks like they have some age on them so I think they were pre WW11. After WW11 they would have been marked West Germany. Possibly imperial era? Just guessing, Charlie

These are both "letter openers" and not salesmen samples. Often given out as advertisement to customers or gifts.
