Original army dagger and value?

I believe this to be an original Eickhorn dagger. It looks like its in good condition and I can get it for 475 to my door. Is this original and is that a good deal?

Hi Brock,

I'd say "yes" to both questions...though the maker's mark appears to be just a bit off-center. Still looks like a nice piece with some age to it, at a good price.

I agree original but will note that the scabbard throat screw would normally be on the reverse side.

Not the first time I've seen the screw like that. Have run into this on some Horester armys.

This dagger is equipped with a type "B" generic pommel, not the typical Eick pommel and even though the scabbard has a thicker throat like an Eickhorm example the screw type and bands are not known Eickhorn products..I would wait for a better example ..very common and easily obtained piece. Kevin.
