    Is it true these commercialized bayonets with no date or serial number are less common and more collectible?!

    The bayonet of special contract are nice, but this is in bad condition missing the locking nut in pommel and heavily sharpened on blade, the frog stud on scabbard was broken off and a not proper english web frog was added. so a nice unmarked WKC would be fine, but this certainly not.

      ...Not to mention that "commercial" bayonets would've been PRODUCED w/ o serial numbers, whereas the example that you've shown has clearly had the ricasso and blade-spine markings ground off after the fact...
