    Dagger Knots

Hey gents, just want to verify these knots, I believe the first is a 2nd model railway dagger knot and the second is a Red Cross officers knot, both are cold to the touch. Just want to verify these. Thanks

        Fritz,

The 2nd knot appears to have an orange dot & specks. If so, it would be a Postschutz knot, not DRK.

Thanks Bill! Is the first one a railway like I think?

Looks like a Bahnschutz. No idea on originality though. Do they come from a good source?

Yes, came out of a 50+ year collection.

Please forgive my ignorance, but what does "cold to the touch" mean/indicate in this context?

Most if not all original dagger knots that are silver bullion feel cold when you touch them, not so much the cord but the knot itself.

Given the thickness of the cords, I would say that both are likely reproductions. Johnson sold this style of knots some time ago as well made reproductions.
