Picked this knot up the other day, is this an SS knot?

Pretty sure this is not SS -
Not in any SS reference books that I can see. Wait for the big guys to chime in.

A view of the stem and slide would help. From what's shown, I think it's the same as one as shown on page 295 of George Wheeler's bayonet book. There it's described as "Probable SS Einheits Troddel...This style knot was also worn by the pre-war Bahnschutz".

I always went with George's description if them, "probably SS Einheits troddel" &/or pre-war Bahnschutz. Not exclusively SS but all in all, a pretty scarce knot all the same. I have two of these knots & love 'em.
