I'm not a sword person but is the Alcoso scabbard unusual in that it has rigid hanger rings?

I have never encountered a TR sword of this style with a fixed ring.

I believe this is a German WW1 Sword scabbard on a WW2 sword.

I definitely agree replaced scabbard IMO.
"ASW" is the last logo of "Alcoso" Solingen, so these sword belongs to the late period.

Ron is again correct. The knots are Polizei (however one of them should not have a green strap insert in the ball as shown) on Heer swords and the scabbard on the Alcoso is a WWI style enlisted man's scabbard. The correct facts are the facts, even if not very encouraging.
