Here's the fire bayonet with the "Puma Solingen" mark, without the cat's head or diamond. The pommel is also magnetic, hinting it's early manufacture. Also note the subtle difference in the knot. It's not the standard feuerwehr knot but a much rarer variation. Usually this variation is seen with a cloth strap with lines of white thread, this one has a leather strap with 3 lines of copper wire.

I know its a bit off topic...but do the NSKK daggers use the same style and color leather hanger as a SA dagger?

Hi Jason,

The accepted hanger for the 1933 NSKK dagger is the black leather hanger like the ones used on SS daggers. Having said that, I have seen a few with the dark brown hangers that appeared to be original, period combinations.

Bottom line, if I had an NSKK I wanted to purchase a hanger for, I would go with a black hanger.
