Oak leaves on a pommel

Hi,
I came across a dagger, Wehrmacht officer dagger and it has thirteen oak leaves on its pommel. Not 12 or 14 but 13. Dagger's owner swears that the pommel is a real deal. Is that possible?

In his book Thomas Wittmann talks about 12 leaves and 14 leaves pommels only.
I have never seen 13 oak leaves pommel. All my daggers have either 12 or 14 oak leaves.
