Here are two nice, "been there" HJ knives that were part of a larger veteran estate lot I just acquired. Both show plenty of honest mileage, but are free from damage, just showing honest period wear. Both are RZM period pieces, being devoid of blade inscriptions, and are maker marked "RZM M7/42, 1940" and "RZM M7/37, 1939" respectively. Both were period sharpened, and both blades show age and use, as do the hilt fittings, with grip strap wear on the pommels, however both have nice intact grip plates, and intact HJ diamonds. The scabbards are both complete with intact belt loops and grip straps, and both show considerable paint loss from wear. I personally like examples like these that show honest use without having been abused. A few pix below...
