FAKE - RARE SS HONOUR DAGGER WITH DAMASCUS BLADE SCABBARD & HANGERS for $44,500.00 AUD

    Dear Forum,

I am also a collector, Mr. Jamey Blewitt of JB Military Antiques in Western Australia has just listed another FAKE worth $44,500.OO AUD. We have to stop this seller before someone buys this very expensive Fake.

I wrote to LTC (Ret) Thomas M. Johnson the author of the book GERMAN DAGGERS OF WORLD WAR II asking for his help. I did get a reply this morning.

    Dear Sir,

Thank you for your email and your assistance and we will keep an eye on this dealer.

    MIKE

He also posted it to his Facebook page and within minutes a collector from the United States (do not want to divulge his name for privacy reasons ) posted some photo's of a genuine Daggers, and made the following comments, but it was removed immediately by Jamey Blewitt as it was not favourable!

Luckily i have a screen shot of it but in essence this is what the US collector said:

" If it's original (that it's not ) it's worth close to that, but before even looking at a bank with that money, any person (seller or buyer) would need some serious provenance, including metal test and I know it'll come out fake. There's a firm in the USA making these and this is exactly like them, even to the smaller SS Runes over Damascus markings. Personally i've seen a SS type Damascus in Don Boyle's collection and this is wrong, the Eichhorn is exactly like the normal logo. There's no swastika on the nut and smooth as a baby's arse not rough and markings are way too prominent. The scabbard has no markings and district SA type was blank....sorry "

          Action

I live in Australia and we have strong consumer protection laws. This dealer is trying to sell an obvious fake POS for huge money. There's a 5% chance some rich moron with zero knowledge clicks buy. I will make some calls Monday to figure out what laws he is breaking - in WA they have the state dept of commerce (commerce.wa.gov.au) and they have a complaints line, I will call them and lodge a complaint and I will email this dealer to let him know. I have taken screenshots so he can't quickly remove the dagger and deny the ad.

This is news? This guy has been around for a few years now and I've personally messaged him with proof that half his inventory is pure rubbish with no reply and his original items are 300% more expensive than one purchased from overseas

So many expensive fakes being sold by jb military antiques

Thank you Forum, I knew this SS HONOR DAGGER was a Fake and so does the dealer Mr Jamey Blewitt of JB Military Antiques. He is so arrogant that even if you told him it was a fake, he would not care, he will sell this SS Honor Dagger anyway.

The Eickhorn Logo on this Dagger is a joke, it should be a Gold double oval "squirrel" trade mark. The Damascus blade features a raised gold SS Motto with a single gold Oak Leaf. As the forum already kindly pointed out the blade on this fake is way to dark, the parts are poorly fitted. There's no Swastika on the nut. Someone said the price should be $44.50. not $44,500.00.

I personally got involved last year, when I was informed by another dealer in Australia that Mr Blewitt sold an SS Dagger for $8,000. which was confirmed later to be a fake, and just last week another buyer purchased a Luftwaffe Dagger from the same dealer which turned out to be fake.

Last year also as you might have read in one of the forum links I gave you, he sold a fake Named German Cross in Gold for $3,500. and the list goes on. If you have some time please go through his website. You will find hundreds of fake German items for sale.

Not just German also fake British Medals, currently he is selling a fake VINTAGE & RARE BRITISH ARMY CRIMEA WAR MEDAL FOR THE CHARGE OF THE LIGHT BRIGADE for $8000. I spoke to some dealers in the U.K. and they are very upset, the soldier's name was later engraved on a blank medal most likely an un-named British Navy or French Issue, the Clasp where also later added, they should be riveted on not held together by small rings. I tell you list is endless.

Either dealer has no knowledge that all these items are fakes or he is the biggest fraud in military collectables history.

We as collector's have an obligation to stop dealers like Mr Blewitt, and to protect the new collector's from bad dealers, and to pass on our knowledge to the next generation of new military collector's.

This is all good information, He is breaking Australian law and we have effective policing of such laws - I noted on his site he offers a lifetime guarantee against all his items - I will lodge a formal complaint with the state govt and I will let the forum know as to how I go. I should mention - Perth WA has had a huge mining boom and some people there have made huge money. My guess is he has cultivated, via his shop presence - a bunch of collectors over the years who have bought his **** and to this day they think their stuff is real and that's how he has gotten away with this. But he is breaking the law and he needs to be stopped, his diplomatic dagger looks rotten too

Another fantasy piece 2nd pattern nazi german engraved navy presentation dagger ?

RARE 2ND PATTERN NAZI GERMAN ENGRAVED NAVY PRESENTATION DAGGER & SCABBARD - PRICE $14,250.00 AUD.

The more I look at this WW2 German Navy Dagger which was just listed by our favourite seller Mr JB, the more I don't like what I see. This one is for the experts on WW2 German Navy Dagger's to judge.

I don't like the poor details of the Eagle Head, The Swastika, The Handle and the Scabbard. What does everyone else think?

The link to his website is just below.

                          Hi Zugspitze,
Navy dagger is 100% fake. There's no reason to specify individual elements, just everything is bad.

                          Regards

                            Hi Jakub,

                            Thank you.

My God, what are we going to do about this Australian Dealer - JB Military Antiques? Everything is an expensive FAKE.

How do we stop this Dealer from selling all these Fakes?

Does the forum have any suggestions? Or do we just let him get away with it?
