    4 Bayonets need some info

    Hello.

These four have been in my collection a while. I am confident about the K98 but the other three I am outside my zone.

Any help on type would be a great bonus.

The Tiger stag seems to have a hilt made of an alloy??

    Happy Collecting.

next one I am certain is a matching numbered Afrika Corps K98, lots of original paint still under the frog.

Looks like nice bayonets from links to left
                - S84/98nA from WW1 period, probably with WW2 frog, this has cutted the secure strap
-S84/98nA from 3R period with super nice web frog, most real with remains of tan color on scabbard which could be a Afrika korps or South area piece, the other side should be code and date of maker, scabbard should be matching with bayonet, nice untouched blade - 1942 Coppel Gmbh code 42 fnj
-S84/98nA with sawback , blade from Gebr.Heller, fullended by Erfurt. from WW1 period within no proper austrian gendarmery frog
-KS98 dress piece in correct frog, grips from horn

                      final two..

the frog has a marking on the back, unsure what it denotes.

Thanks for the comments so far, not my usual area but bayonets were the first things i picked up many years ago and they sit in a drawer. Now at least i can add more labels.

                      Thanks again

The first one S84/98nA by Mehlich. the frog is gfg 1942, with most probably faked SS circle stamp.

Bayonet frog at first bayonet is K98 Germany type, manufactured after 1940, judging by the frog rivets - perhaps maybe during1942, according to the stamp. Unfortunately these bayonet frog is coat with cream for shoes and straps are a rip off.
                              Sawtooth bayonet not my area.

Second bayonet is Germany K98, produced by Coppel Gmbh, during the 1942 year.
I do not know whether the numbers on the scabbard and bayonet are match, but these bayonet itself is in very good condition with very-preserved bluing.
Tropical K98 bayonet frog is not my area.

Bayonet frog on the third bayonet is probably the Austro-Hungarian, for M1895 bayonet.
                              Sawtooth bayonet not my area.

                              4. K98 bayonet is Germany dress bayonet with stag grips, produced by Tiger Solingen.
Unfortunately the whole bayonet is hard cleaned, and the nickle plating completely gone. (Except on the bayonet blade who is perfectly preserved.
Scabbard is also cleaned and then re-painted over.
Bayonnet frog is Luftwaffe version, and it seems to me fine, but I'm not 100% sure.

                              Regards
                              Rancid66
