nice looking LUFT from what i can tell ...,but,blade is not mirror brite .... what is condition of blade? .is that old grease covering blade ..and any nicks or plating loss ? EC
A wonderful display, Ron! While I agree with EC that there looks like remnants of old grease on the blade, the condition is excellent -- especially the gilt swastikas and the leatherwork! And the sword's companion pieces shouldn't be ignored: what appears to be a worn LW officer's cap in excellent condition and an M-35 helmet (DD?) with a finish that looks like it went from the factory to a period storage room and then to a GI's footlocker, where it's resided ever since the 1940s!! Exciting pieces all!
