    Etched Dress Bayo

Need opinions for that etched bayo. Good or not?

    Jo:

This is an often faked etch pattern and the latest of these fakes coming out of the Czech Republic are very, very good. There are a couple of little things that give me pause with the pictures you have shown.

Can you show more pictures of the overall etch and its bookends? Is the etch deep and crisp?

Shallow etch is another bad sign. If you haven't bought this one, I would suggest you may want to stay away.

If you have bought it, I would show it to some people to get an in hands view of it.

Well, I don't want to help the fakers get better, but here are the top three things that bother me:

                    1) Known pattern that is very well faked.
                    2) Shallow etch.
                    3) Small details on the etch itself that bother me (broken lines, misshaped forms... all tiny).

Plus, I have a general unease about this overall. Put it all together, and I would want a hands on inspection or a sign off by an etch expert like Wayne Techet.

For sure, I would ask for a firm return guarantee.. the big guys offer a no questions asked return policy.
