A nice piece in display condition. I've seen that discoloration on a few grips previously and find it interesting. IMO this piece has been reworked in the past: the blade appears to have been heavily polished in order to remove runner marks or age spotting or some other problem; the condition of the scabbard is such that it should show some degree of use -- dings or scrapes, particularly with the crushed tip ball fitting -- since this piece is of the earliest issued M-33 daggers issued to members of SA-Gruppe Niederrhein, the body appears to have been painted as opposed to the original anodizing -- looks like brush marks along the side; and someone looks to have replaced the original leather hanger with a later model, marked with the RZM code. But a nice piece, indeed.
