It looks likes a GI made the hanger sharpend it and carried it as a fighting knife. We wll never know.

I do own many SS daggers but none that are sharpend.Your not clear on what you are refering too?.I know you are a novice RB but blade collectors stay away from blades that have been sharpend.Just like they stay away from misfitting parts which I helped you on earlier.Maybe another example will help? Are you a coin collector? You could have a 1856 flying eagle penny in beautiful condition.A very rare coin and quite valuable. If that penny had one tiny hole drilled thru it .It would be almost worthless. The school of hard knocks has an expensive tuition.I hope I can help you learn and feel free too bring me into any thread you post. I'm sure others enjoy it also.Again thanks for asking.

So I take that to mean you do not have this maker in your collection; perhaps you should make an offer. What is the your favorite rare maker you have? show us one of your rarer makers!

RB after this post I am not going too continue trying to help you.You are incorrigible. After all I have said you do not realize I do not buy daggers with sharpend blades.Yet you suggest I buy this one.Lord knows I have tried. Here is a dagger I own that I think there is only one more in the world (It's the orange colored handle)The blade has problems so it is no worh much money. It's all in the blade. Is that simple enough for you to understand? JR I wll let you be his tutor because you know it all.Pass your knowledge on to this lad.He will be a challenge for sure.Best Regards

JR has not addressed the real question here... has the blade been sharpened or not?

If the dagger were listed on the e-stand it would matter if the blade description was not included. But its posted as a show item so there is no need to write a detailed description, and I am sure a buyer would recognize a sharpened blade as an end user. Who cares? its a rare maker that would garner a premium for an edged weapon collector that does SS types. It gets to a point where its not worth showing anything or risk getting beat on. I am sure the owner would no doubt write this up in a detailed sale ad from the pommel nut to the blade tip should he list it for sale. ;0)

Yes - it is that much of a rarity to see an SS blade from this manufacturer . . . and I think you summed this up quite well . . . for all of the kooky blade collectors out there, who would really care for all of it's faults? I have to agree - it is certainly another one of those moments . . . when, once again . . . one must ask themselves, "Why would I even bother" ???
