WW1 Reg, Markings, Help Needed Please.

Ive just purchased a M98 German bayonet and the cross gaurd is stamped ....76.R.10.137.... could anybody help with an ID please. regards Pete.
p.s. also came with a red and white troddel, but not sure if its an 'add on'', the top nipple is red, stem is white, red wool above white tassles, any ideas?
