WWI German Fighting Knife - Angolia?

This morning, I bought a small collection of German blades. The seller told me that this World War I German fighting knife is the exact one that John R. Angolia featured in his book Daggers, Bayonets and Fighting Knives of Hitler's Germany. Does anyone have this book and if so, can you confirm or disprove that it is the same knife? Thanks!

The Hammesfahr looks OK so far, but, the blade and crossguard are heavilly "cleaned" an the hilt doesen´t shows the original lenght, (also, the lower rivet is replaced).

The varnish of the scabbard lack´s almost 100% of it´s original paintwork ...

        Greetings Barry,

I’d have to say it is the same knife as seen in Angolia’s Book. I don't use picture hosts so I'm unable to load a scan of the page. PM me and I'll send you a scan of the page.

        Regards,

        Lance
