It may be necessary to get closer pics but from what I see, I think the dagger itself is OK. Type 2a mark with what appears to be aluminum crossguards would be consistent with Ron W's book, would be nice to find out if there are any inner crossguard markings or any tang markings.

The scabbard frog lug looks odd to me & I believe the scabbard ball looks to be brass, at least from the coloring when blown up.

Pending on internal markings on the dagger and crossguards, the scabbard is a definite reproduction, the dagger could be OK

Billy, I concur with you and Ron on the scabbard. This one looks like The Bozo Nose variant fake with the brazed on brass ball.
