The button and the eagle looks replaced. The TM is poor executed(esp.the RZM in double circle),while the motto is fairly well made. But the motto pattern is not the one that i would expect to see on a 807/36! The 807/36 has always the same motto pattern, imho. Both 807 vintage daggers,36 and 37, were all made with these early quality and precision. The area around the ss pin looks also painted, can you confirm it?
I own both vintage daggers and i see a lot of differences.

I can't comment on the blade but the SS rune looks to have been replaced as does the grip eagle. You can see a gap on the right side of the SS insignia and areas around the eagle where the wood is missing.

                Hi 34pontifical,

Welcome among us! The photos of this piece do not show it clearly and to the best of its ability; perhaps pix in direct sunlight would be better than flash...? The dagger and scabbard appear to have been hanging in someone's 'man cave' for decades and have picked up a coating of verdigris -- a/k/a nicotine; a nice washing with gentle soap should get rid of the brownish coating all over the piece.

Just some suggestions, and again, welcome!

Hi Br. James, buckle1, Rheingold, Luis22 and tobau ,

I do not have any more photos of this dagger : the person who wants to sell me this dagger, gave me a few pictures. I note with your comments that the dagger is not 100% authentic.
I'll try to get more photos.

Thank you all for your comments and help.
