Hello gents,
I´ve just came accross this piece and would be glad for your opinion. I must say I quite like what I see, but I really do not collect these pieces, so your comments are welcomed.

It looks to be parts Degen. For starter, the SS emblem on the grip is the later Dachau style as it's too convex for a mid-period Degen as the rest of the fittings appear.

Yup. Something is not right; look at the wire "curled" around the top of the SS emblem on the grip.

I agree, looks like a put-together.

The way the grip wire is displaced around the SS insignia is a bad sign. The way brown wood grip color showing thru, does not look coming from normal wear.

I agree with the above assessments. However; Even though it's not totally correct it's still a nice display piece as long as the price is right on it.

All I can say is that this is a beater very much abused and neglected. It has potential after some restoration.
