    SS frog

    Hello,

A good friend of mine (a private militaria dealer) in Czech Republic found this frog locally ten years ago. He said it's original but didn't know for what this frog is. Can anyone identify it? It's 195cm long. It's smaller than a 98K frog. And a belt can fit into its sides. I would very much appreciate your input.

    Best Regards,
    Shu

How do you say Bogus in Czech? Totally meaningless application of an RZM stamp and an SS stamp.

I cannot comment on the frog, but I think that SS, RZM marks are added. Usually they are different style and with numbers indicating maker code and year. The one I have is marked VA 419/38 SS.

Real frog, fake SS stamp. You are not going to have an rzm stamp without the contract number. And it would be a number that corresponded with a leather manufacture. The frog may not be for any Nazi edged weapon at all

For Sure the SS markings were added later. The frog itself is the dress type used on K98 and fire service bayos.

                              Hello,

this is a walking out frog... IMO a new product

The Stamps are IMO fakes... the maker + the SS Stamps.

Reals SS frogs are stamped in a other way...and the frog type is the standard German service type.
