Bayonet info please!

Hi guys,
I am searching for information on this dress bayonet. I know it is made by WKC, but that is about the extent of my knowledge on it. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

This is an Imperial S98 dress bayonet (Extra-waffen) made by WKC. The frog and knot are incorrect for this style of bayonet.

S98nA I think and I'm not sure but the knot looks like a police version.John

It's an odd looking knot. The bulb is from a Feuerwehr knot & the strap is from a Polizei, officer grade knot, I've never seen this combination before. Possibly an odd period knot, possibly put together.

Thank you very much for the info guys. The bayonet itself is in very good shape, but the knots are pretty rough. Picked it up at a gun show so no story on when or where it was brought back.

yes the parts don´t belong together

The S98 is a walking out version out of the time 1902 until 1914

The knot is for the police or the Feuerschutzpolizei (=since 1940).

The frog is the version for the Luftwaffe since 1940.

I personally would push it to date 1906 - 1915.
