Mini Lions Head

Hi all

I picked up this mini Lions head sword/Letter opener this weekend. Any information on it would be helpful.
How old is it?
Who made these?
What is it's value?
I have several small US swords, but this one was interesting because it ahs a miniature portapee with it...

I have one just like this that is also etched with "Heidelberg" on the blade. Mine has the original old cotton lined box and never had a scabbard. Obviously a generic letter opener that was sold as a souvenier of Heidelberg. These could be wartime or postwar IMHO. My best guess is from the 1950s.
