    Mint Napola dagger

    Hello,

Not mine but if the story is real it's a vet bring back in mint condition.
Just why no school marking on it?

    Opinion?
    Thanks.

Does the crossguard have a number on it?

Did you see the not round Frog Stud?

Not all NPEA daggers had school markings on them, I believe there were some schools that didn't mark their crossguards & some of the later production daggers don't have evidence of school markings. I don't think the lack of such a mark deems a piece legit or not. The few Weyersberg NPEA daggers I've seen pictured were all unmarked, this dagger could be very interesting indeed.

Very rare. I have seen nine WMW student daggers of which seven had crossguards which were marked with numbers only, but without a school i/d.

Are the crossguards of your dagger ali, or plated? The pommel nut looks to be plated, but would be nice to know -

              Thanks for showing.

                Thanks for all comment.
This dagger is not for sale & not in the collector area.
It's in the family of the vet who take it during WWII.

I'll try to have other photos. I've do a financial proposition but this family property is much important than money...........for now........

It looks like a scarce and proper WMW, late issue.
I would not hesitate to have this one in my collection.

Nice to see a dagger like this. Thanks for showing JC. Good Luck on it.

We need to see better photos. ALL the student NPEAs with this Trademark that I have seen have a 2 digit number on the lower crossguard.
Also, the scabbard paint looks off in these photos, but it might be the light and the washer doesn't look correct. Photos may help.
