    Dagger Help

    Greetings,
I came across this blade and believe it to be some form of interwar or postwar commercial made piece sold to Soldiers. GermanSoldiers? Allied Soldiers? It had a wood handle wrapped in a yellow celluiod. The handle did not appear to be very robust. Are these collectible and what dagger manufacturer made this piece? I think it resides somewhere in the $100 range? Many thanks to all those that respond.

Someone etched motifs of German naval dagger on the blade of SA dagger.
      For me, post-war.
Far as I remember well G. C Co. Solingen Germany is still there, produces a variety of knives.

If that's an SA blade the fellow holding it has a HUGE thumb.

More like a NSFK blade with a postwar etch.

            Hi Marion,

I agree with DaveR. This piece probably has nothing to do with the TR era. I recall seeing pieces similar to this being sold to knife collectors back in the 1960s and '70s.

            Cheers,

            Br. James
