Just received this dagger in the post today. It's absolutely one of the nicest daggers I've ever seen. The blade is mirror bright with only the faintest runner marks towards the tip. The leather is in impeccable condition with virtually no wear. Scabbard is also in fantastic condition with no damage.
The vet was a tank driver in the 7th Armored Division, 17th Tank Battalion Company "D" who fought at The Battle of the Bulge. He was stricken with frostbite to his toes during it which needed to be amputated.
