    Polish WZ22 Bayonet

Found in my local flee market this morning, condition is good, perhaps the outside would clean up. Ive had a large number of bayonets go thru my hands but this is the first WZ22 ive had. Im interested in the fact that this one has a ''Blued'' blade and a Nazi scabbard and what about the marking to the top spine of the blade near the cross guard, Waffenampt stamp?? All replies would be welcome, cheers , Pete.

this bayonet is made 1941-42 out of stock parts from the 1939 production in the captured Radom factory.

This is the reason for the WaA mark. Captured and modified bayonets don't get one...because they are proofed for service by her old owners.

in the origin this model was the 1939 variant (different blade age) of the polish Wz.29 bayonet.

The Germans called this model Seitengewehr 139 (p) .
