Folding Knife - Real?

Hi all,
I recently came across someone selling a knife a lot like the one shown here:

They haven't sent me clear pictures, but it is just like the one in the link with the eickhorn maker mark
I know most pocket knives are fakes, but I'm curious about this one because I haven't come across one like it before.
Also the seller says his friends dad was the GI who brought it back..
is he full of it?
