    HJ Knife

Like many collectors, I never really had an interest in owning a Hitler Youth Knife until that famous scene in Saving Priviate Ryan. At this years MAX an HJ knife came my way that I just couldn't turn down. Since it's actually a fairly rare maker for an HJ knife, I thought you guys might enjoy it.

          Very, very nice indeed Larry.

I too have been a little slow when it comes to HJ knifes . I have yet to place one in my collection but when I do, boy do I hope it will be as nice as yours. Thanks for posting it.

          Dare I ask the obvious?

          Cheers,
          David.
At Rathau on the Aller, the CO of 5th Royal Tanks advanced on foot to take a cautious look into the town before his tanks moved in. He encountered one of his own officers, a huge Welshman named John Gwilliam who later captained his country's rugby team, 'carrying a small German soldier by the scruff of his neck, not unlike a cat with a mouse.' The Colonel said: 'Why not shoot him?' Gwilliam replied in his mighty Welsh voice: 'Oh no, sir. Much too small.'

David, for a minimal, wallet scalding, $450, you too can put a $100 HJ knife in your collection. Sometimes I wish they hadn't saved Priviate Ryan.

                  Hello Larry

Thanks for sharing! I have two HJ knives as well as many other HJ items and am always looking for more to add to the collection (unlike many collectors I really like the HJ knives) . Your knife is indeed a great piece and congrats on the recent purchase.

                  Best regards

                  Mike

                    Mike,
stop looking at knives! you've got too many edged weapons at the moment.
                    You don't need any more!
Sweet HJ knife though Larry, nice

                      Hello Jon

Your right, I do have too many knives. I think I'll start collecting Daggers

                      Mike

P.S. In fact, I'm buying a nice NSKK Dagger tomorrow
