    1871 Walking out Sawback

My friend in Dallas just made a great haul and among the goods was a model 1871 sawback bayo WKC maker with no bayonet lug and also what appears to be chrome or nickel plating on the grip, sounds to me that it is a "Walking out" piece with both the kings head and the knights head logo. Leather scabbard has matching fittings. Excellent ++ condition. Any Ideas for what making a fair offer would be? I like the piece but don't know anything about this item. I am more of a dagger guy. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Geoff

O.K. Forget fair offer info. Does anyone know anything about this pattern Bayonet? I have never seen one before. Is this a legit piece or something else? Makers marks look good to me. Anyone?

These are legitimate private purchase examples. I don't know why it would be nickel plated however. If it is chrome plating it is most likely postwar done s these were typically brass. Made by WK&C.
