Kriegsmarine Adolf Braun for 700$ at this year's SOS and
PUMA Kriegsmarine dagger in as mint as possible for 700$, also.

It's not such bargain as could be found sometimes, but I am more than satisfied with those purchases.

Adolf Braun is not rare but almost never seen amongst most of the collectors.

Bought a Japanese Officers sword for £50 sold it a few years later for £400 and an RAF Servicing commando knife for £25 sold that later for £325. Not Third Reich but they helped me buy a nice Luft sword.

                blades

I picked up an early SS dagger, nicely etched rare K98 bayonet and a very rough SA dagger for $60.00. I knew the SA was real, but thought the other 2 were repros and bought them as such. Nice surprise to find out otherwise!!

                  Gravity knife--once in a lifetime?

This past Father's Day I went with my wife to an estate sale of the deceased parents of her high school best friend. On the basement workbench scattered among the hand tools was a Paul Weyersberg gravity knife with a price tag of $3. I bought it immediately and am now actively searching for more finds like that one!

Bought what i was told a replica diamonds oak and swords for £350 as a jewellers copy from an English dealer.
As having worked in high jewellery I could recognise that the Klein markings were of the highest type of finish.
I recognised instantly it must be precious stones and platinum..later they sold in Europe for £50, 000 I believe.

The first two daggers I ever bought were in 1972. I got a 2nd model Luftwaffe with hanger and knot and a Diplomatic/Government dagger with hangers for $10. The only problem was the swastikas had been sawed off. I traded them for something. I bet someone has replaced the eagle on the diplomatic and it's the best dagger in someone's collection.

                            cherry picking

Years back I ran across a collection belonging to a deceased local doctor. I bought a couple of 'skulls' (tk's) that day for $60.00, not really knowing the value to collectors, I just like skulls. One was 'pot metal', one flatwire. Both genuine.
I sold one and went back and bought the entire collection including a nice pre rzm sa.
                            Lucky? yeah, sometimes I'm lucky.

                            cheers,
                            Pauli
