The maker is Arthur Wingen , great looking dagger an scabbard.

The company, Arthur Wingen, used the brand names Chromolit, ch, and Ch A.W. This is the one you have.

Another similar named company, Anton Wingen, used the trade names of Anton Wingen Jr, A Wingen Jr and Othello.

this was the company that made the Luftwaffe Forestry Knife. If you study this knife you can see how well it is made. Each piece is slightly different from the normal parts found on a dress bayonet: scabbard has a slightly different shape the blade, natural finish, has a slightly different shape and is marked. Ch. A. W on the ricasso.

I notice that the firm of Anton Wingen Jr held the RZM License #M7/51, though I could not find an RZM M7 number for either the firm of Arthur Wingen or "Chromolit" -- I wonder why this is? Perhaps they used yet another name for their RZM license?
